Karen McElroy grew up in idyllic Noosa Heads and completed a degree in journalism before pursing her longstanding interest in herbs and natural health. She moved to Melbourne and completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy), a Certificate of Massage Therapy and a Certificate of Yoga Teaching.
Karen regularly contributes professional articles and is invited to speak at seminars and conferences. She also runs workshops on Natural Medicine for babies and children, and teaches yoga and meditation.
Karen ran a busy practice for over eight years at Melbourne Holistic Health Group where she gained valuable clinical experience in the holistic treatment of both general practice disorders as well as common gynaecology & obstetrics issues. This clinic is also particularly well known in Melbourne for its collaborative approach with medical specialists in the treatment of infertility and IVF.
Karen relocated back to the Sunshine Coast with her partner and two young children in early 2007.
She has previously written university curriculum on reproductive health, lectured in clinical nutrition at RMIT University and conducted workshops at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne on herbal medicine & menopause.
Karen is a full member of the National Herbalists Association of Australia. |
