New Content For You
Just giving you an update on how I will be expanding the way I share research, health tips and general info with you.
I feel very lucky to love my job and I am still just as passionate about my work today as I was 25+ years ago when I started my professional career. A large part of the philosophy of natural health is prevention. It is often way easier to prevent disease and dysfunction than it is to treat it. Education and accurate information is paramount when it comes to making decisions and choices about your health. In this day of information overload and Dr Google, it can get very confusing and hard to navigate the huge sea of content that is on the web.
As a health professional, it is my job to stay abreast of the latest medical research and the changing healthcare landscape. For us practitioners to even stay registered with a professional association we need to complete a minimum of 20 hours of CPE (continuing professional education) every year. So I am always learning new information, studying the medical research – both mainstream and alternative, and generally discovering better ways of doing things to best support my patients.
Whether it is new products on the market to treat health issues, new dietary approaches or even new updates that make the tried and true vitamins better absorbed – there is always something to learn and implement. I consider it an essential part of my job to keep you informed, up-to-date and generally inspired to be the best and healthiest version of you.
As many of you know, I love writing. Having studied journalism when I first left school, writing has always been something I enjoy doing both professionally and personally. So I will still be writing articles and blog posts here on my website and over on my Substack as well as releasing more books in the future.
In addition, I have recently started to share content on various social media channels again, after a long hiatus. I have been filming from my backyard (sometimes with the help of my son!) and have been enjoying offering lots of little inspirations and tips in small easy to digest bites – everything from herbal remedies, the benefits of the sun, nature connection, mindfulness practices and general health advice.
I plan on bringing more of these short videos, segments and bulletins on these channels, to allow easier and better access for everyone, but especially those of you who never find the time to sit down and read my articles! Social media is a bit of a minefield, but taking it in small doses and being mindful of the content you consume is the key to making it work for you.
I also have some great online courses in the pipeline and stay tuned about my future events that are planned, in addition to my retreat in November.
